Liptovská Mara

The dam on the river Vah with the surface area of 28 square kilometres was created by inundation of several villages. It bears the name of one of them.
Stretch of water is 10 km long and average width is 2,5 km.
The dam has two basin - main (Liptovská Mara) 360,5 mil. m³ and small (Bešeňová) 9,8 mil. m³.
