Dragon´s Ice Cave - Demänovská Dolina Valley
Ice cave is mentioned in annals from year 1299 and is located amid splendind scenery at the start of Demänovska dolina valley. It was known as the Dragon´s Cave due to a find there of the bones of a bear, at the time taken to be a dragon.
There are magnificent ice formations in the lower part of the cave, which is open from May to September.T O P
Freedom Cave - Demänovská Dolina Valley
Freedom Cave is the most beautiful and most famous dripstone cave in Slovakia, with an interesting system of galleries on a number of levels and connected by caverns. It is outstanding in the wealth and variety of its decoration in the most diverse colours and shapes.
Also typical are its decorated small lakes. The entrance to the cave is accessed by chairlift or on foot.
Važec cave is a dripstone cave on the outskirts of the distinctive hamlet of the same name. The wealth of its gracile ornamentation evoke a fairytale landscape.
